Eyelid Lift in Vienna
Due to the sagging of the skin on the eyelids (blepharochalasis), a tired facial expression develops, and with a more pronounced manifestation of the upper lids, there can even be a restriction of the visual field. In the area of the lower lids, so-called tear bags frequently appear.
An eyelid lift can effectively counteract these changes and contribute to a fresh, alert appearance.
Reduction of tear bags
Fresh, alert expression
Improvement of visual field

Characteristics & Treatment
Excess skin can occur on both the upper and lower lid due to skin sagging. If there is also a weakness of the orbital septum, the fat tissue of the eye socket can bulge under the skin – this is called a tear bag, although it has nothing to do with the lacrimal gland.
How Is Blepharoplasty Performed?
Eyelid lift is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. The excess skin portion is removed, and if necessary, also the protruding fat tissue. Wound closure is done with very fine skin sutures that are removed after about 6 days.
Is There Swelling After the Operation?
Swelling and bruising are normal after the operation and usually subside after 2-3 weeks. The scars are then barely visible. The eyelid lift gives the face a fresh and youthful expression.
