Btx / Fillers / Lipofilling

With increasing age and external influences such as sun exposure and smoking, the skin loses firmness and elasticity, leading to wrinkles, skin sagging, and volume loss. The aging process in the face occurs on multiple levels – from the surface to the deep skin layers – and therefore requires comprehensive, three-dimensional treatment.

How Does Botulinum Toxin A (Btx) Work?

Btx is a medication originally used in neurology and ophthalmology for muscle relaxation. Its effect against mimic wrinkles and excessive sweating was discovered by chance, and it is now a proven agent in aesthetic medicine. Even small doses can calm overactive muscles and reduce wrinkle formation.

What Do Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Fillers Do?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin responsible for moisture retention and collagen formation. As a filler, HA is used for volume enhancement (e.g., in cheeks and lips) and correction of wrinkles (e.g., nasolabial folds). The effect lasts an average of 12 to 18 months without significant side effects.

What Is Lipofilling?

Lipofilling, also called autologous fat tissue transplantation, is the transplantation of the body’s own fat tissue obtained through liposuction and then injected into the desired body region. This method is used for both aesthetic and medical indications, e.g., for correcting facial and breast atrophies or sunken scars.

What Side Effects Are There After Lipofilling?

Side effects are rare, the most common being temporary bruising and swelling that subsides after a few days. Slight pain can occur but is easily treatable with painkillers. Infections and tissue necrosis are extremely rare.
